I think if you are having a hard time carrying the cameras in a pack, you probably are reluctant to unpack them and repack them because of the time and energy. However: you had one job.
I've had to carry 50+ pounds up above 13000 feet: it is no fun to work like that in the middle of a day long hike. You can really respect what the wilderness fire crews have to do just to get to where they are going to work. I'm just glad the ESPN crew didn't need rescuing.
