Does Nebraska move away from “dirty” Adidas?

Nike AD, Suh (who is a Nike guy), and Phil might change the landscape. Seems like the timing is right.

Can you imagine a Nebraska “Niketown” across from Memorial? I bet 16, 17 and 18 year-olds would love that.

Would be great. There would probably have to be an "out" clause in the recent contract that could be invoked for the issues Adidas has had or some other way to get out of that agreement for cause.

One of the key players in the bribery scandal is Merle Code, who seems to have worked as elite youth director of Nike basketball before leaving for Adidas. It isn't at all clear yet whether Nike is clean.

In fact, a number of people working in Nike's Youth Basketball League have received subpoenas from the FBI.

adidas may be a more polarizing issue in the husker fan base than firing Solich. my worthless 2-cents:

IMO Nike fan gear is 1,000,000 times better than Adidas fan gear
the "player gear" is all good so it is just a wash - the university can control what Nike is allowed to do with alternate uniforms so appearance is not an issue here and quaility is probably not appreciably different
i would be willing to sell the naming rights to my next child if NU would switch to Nike

Finally nebraska is not*** switching - it is just wishful thinking - the new deal takes them to 2029 or something like that - nothing will change until then.

What do you think the chances are of Adidas pulling out of collegiate sports due to the scandal?

Since the issues with Adidas is tied to basketball and obviously Tim Miles/Nebraska Basketball didn’t benefit in the record column...I say no.

Nike's stuff is absolute crap. I bought a pair of 100 dollar Nikes about 3 months ago and theyre already disintegrating. Meanwhile, my 14 year old addidas football cleats that I wore all through high school football and 5+ flag football seasons are still in fantastic condition.
