Connie Yori resigns.
Connie Yori resigns.
“After fourteen years as the head coach of the women’s basketball program I have made the difficult decision to step down,” Yori said in a statement. “As some of you may know, this has been a very challenging time for my family and in the best interest of all of us, this is the right decision. I want to thank the student-athletes, assistant coaches, staff and administrators, especially Shawn Eichorst, for his leadership and support during this difficult time in my life. Finally, thank you to the incredible Husker Nation for their passionate and unwavering support throughout my time in Lincoln. I will always be a proud Husker.”

The Lincoln Journal Star reported earlier on Tuesday that Yori’s resignation came amid allegations from players and staff on the 2015-16 team that Yori had mistreated players.
Yori has denied those allegations to multiple outlets.
I have added a bunch of links on the main page for you all to look at. It seems it was 10 people from last years team that started the whole thing. My guess is we won't hear anything else and UNL will move on and forget ASAP.
I believe Amy Williams will receive strong consideration for the HC position.
Williams is a former Husker and current HC of USD whose team just won the WNIT.
Strong emphasis will be on keeping the current highly-ranked recruiting class intact and existing players in the fold!
Wow! Sad if all true...
With that being said, I'd LOVE to see Shimmy Gray-Miller as the next HC!!!
She then took the job at Nebraska in 2002. The Huskers' roster was so depleted — just five scholarship players — when she took over that Yori had to knock on the doors of sororities looking for additional depth..........
Since then, the Huskers made six NCAA Tournaments, including two Sweet Sixteens. Nebraska also won a school record 32 games in 2009-2010, sweeping 16-0 through the Big 12 regular season. Yori won Big 12 and National Coach of the Year honors in 2010 for that season. She also won Big Ten Conference Coach of the Year in 2013 and 2014. NU won 24, 25 and 26 games in its first three seasons in the Big Ten.
