Just imagine. He would be doing what he's done the last two weeks against the big boys. I'm worried about him getting killed in conference play, but at least we have someone who can improvise and find his own yards.

Yeah, Grant’s not going to get away with a lot of those jump cuts against better defenses. However, it’s undeniable he looked really good yesterday. That’s something to certainly watch going forward. Happy to see we have e a big gain threat there at least. Haven’t had that since Washington.
But those cuts will help him in the long run, it also creates problems for opposing defenses,hopefully adjustments r in the back of their minds.
Take away his TD run and he had just over 2 ypc. A RB should at least average 3.3

Using your criteria Roy Helu on his record breaking 307 yards rushing vs Missouri would have not had a very good day based on his TD runs of 66, 73 and 53 or 192 of his 307 yards
The great backs have the long runs in among the 4 and 5 yard pops with Ahman Green and Lawrence Phillips just a couple of examples
Bottom line 19 carries 101 yards and 5.1 per pop

Hey math major, do the math again.
Take away his one long run and he went 18 for 54 yards. 3 yards per carry. Really close to your 3.3 that a back should average. Does that change your thoughts at all?
are you trying to make a statement for how good this team was, or how good Grant has been?
