4-Star All-Purpose RB Wandale Robinson is N! Named To Kentucky All-USA First Team

The visits with Held and Walters were big for Robinson, who as a senior won Mr. Football in the state of Kentucky after another monster season which included 1,973 yards rushing, 725 yards receiving and 45 total touchdowns, 30 by rush, 11 by reception, one scoop and score, one pick six and two punt returns. Robinson added 119 tackles as a senior filling the box score as well as any prospect in the country.

“They were telling me they’ll do everything they can to make my college experience go the way I want it to go, being on offense, special teams and accomplishing all the goals I strive to get,” Robinson said and he has lofty expectations for himself in Lincoln.

“I want to lead the Big Ten in all-purpose yards, win the Paul Hornung Award and down the line the Heisman Trophy,” Robinson said. He’ll cap his prep career as playing in the All-American Bowl on Jan. 5 before enrolling early at Nebraska. Robinson believes Frost and his style of play can get him to those goals.

“It was really the opportunity out there and the opportunity I have to be part of that offense and a place that has a need for me where I can play running back and receiver at the same time," he explained. "Obviously having Adrian Martinez as the quarterback and the way they played at the end of the year, things are looking good for next year. The way this 2019 class looks too.

There was an awful lot of pressure for Robinson to stay home and go to Kentucky, but at the end of the day his fit in Nebraska's offense played a deciding factor. He looks to be tailor-made to play the Duck-R position in Scott Frost's explosive offense. He will primarily line up as a slot receiver, but will also be featured in the backfield as a running back at times as well. It's a role that not only features all of his skills, but also creates a lot of mismatches for opposing defenses.

3. As a receiver, Robinson shows to have very reliable hands. He primarily worked out of the slot in high school which is where he will mostly work at when he gets to college. He's a player that can not only turn a bubble screen into a long play by making a defender miss in the open field and taking it the distance, but he also has the top-end speed to be a vertical threat in the passing game as well. He's not the biggest target, but he certainly has the leaping ability to go up and get the football and make catches in a crowd when he needs to.

You might want to quote and link that...

Martinez-Spielman-Washington-Robinson, move over Triplets here come the Quadruplets!
I’d be curious as to how teams would defend that. If I’m Frost, I might do what the LA Rams do on many plays...one guy motions across backfield in fly sweep look. QB either fakes to him or gives it; then you have RB that you either hand off to or fake; and then pass option. So many quick guys in backfield would be impossible for LB’s to cover. There should always be an open guy for quick passes. Deadly offense coming next year and beyond.

How do you keep all these RBs happy with touches now? I mean we had three incoming recruits besides WR and we have MWashington from last year who is awesome. Is WR considered a RB or a WR/RB. He seems very similar to MWashington. Two great guys with speed.
