VCU definitely beatable. Then NU gets Duke...pretty much a home game for Duke. I wish the NCAA didn't protect teams like that but it will never change.

Well I think if you win enough in the regular season to get into 1-3 seed you deserve to play close to home which is the way the Brackets are setup. However it is a little concerning that Raleigh is ALWAYS a bracket site and Duke or North Carolina always are there. Good thing for them they are always really good.

I'd be okay with a win and a loss to Duke though if you put a gun to my head. If no gun I'd say we'd better bring home a national title or Fire Miles. :)

"Pretty much a home game" is putting it mildly. I went to Durham years ago, and the cab ride from the Raleigh airport was about 15 minutes.

I think beating Wisconsin and earning #4 seed in the B1G puts us in without question.

Now, seeding is the big question.

This site would put us in as a #9 seed. Which means an easier chance to get our first ever NCAA win than if we were an #11 or #12. However, our second game would be against a #1 -- I wouldn't mind if that #1 was Wichita State!!

34 "systems" have updated their brackets after last night's win. We are now in the field on 33 of them. On average, we are a 10.76 seed...so, look for a #10 or #11. I could see the tourney bumping up a little due to our high conference record.

the play in game in the west with the winner playing #5 Ohio State.
so 5th place in the big ten is worth a #5 seed in the tournament and 4th in the conference is worth a play in game?

hopefully the huskers win at least one game in the conference tournament and put this bracket watching to rest.

I think SI is full of crap to say we are the absolute last team in as it stands right now.

I just built my own brackets using these 'average' seedings. In moving some teams around to avoid rematches, I ended up with Nebraska bumping from an 11 to a 10.

Playing in Buffalo, matched up wtih U Conn in the first game and Syracuse in the second. Could be a tough road.

If an #11 seed; it could be a San Antonio trip with U Mass (beatable) and Iowa State.

I am cool with not sending 1s and 2s all the way across the country but there comes a point where it's a little TOO cozy IMO. Duke and UNC in North Carolina? As a 3 seed? Creighton is probably going to get a 3 and they are going to get shipped to San Antonio...to potentially play Texas. That's crap....a better seed should never have to play a "road" game. And then you have a potential 9 loss Kansas that is virtually assured of a protected seed in St. Louis. No system is perfect I guess but it does lead to some less than fair situations.

I don't give much credibility to a bracket that doesn't even adhere to the committee's rules regarding early matchups between conference opponents.
