Yes! You sure did!

So he probably shouldn't have been playing hurt. Iconic coaching decisions!!!!!!!!!
As much as we fans appreciate grit, toughness, etc, it is a different game today. Concussions (blake lawrence), the other guy who left the team last week. Why risk your future!!!!!!So he probably shouldn't have been playing hurt. Iconic coaching decisions!!!!!!!!!
My wife and I were talking about that over the last couple of weeks. I guess I keep forgetting what it was like at 18 but I don't understand letting the kids play when they are hurt. Josh was limping around like crazy Saturday and may have dropped that interception due to the pain, Quincy was hopping around on one leg and wouldn't leave the field. Gotta love em but I just am afraid they will do more damage if left in there.

Questionable coaching decisions no doubt. Even here at beloved DONU the pressure to win is blind to injuryAs much as we fans appreciate grit, toughness, etc, it is a different game today. Concussions (blake lawrence), the other guy who left the team last week. Why risk your future!!!!!!
I think it's really important our coaches error on the side of caution with any major injury. Lets not forget these kids have parents who have entrusted our coaches with making the right decisions for their kids. I think if kids play hurt (not talking about bumps and bruises) it well might affect recruiting! I honestly think T-mart was played hurt to much over the past several seasons and it's all come home now.
Watching him limping around in 2010 in his last 3 games was painful to watch. Pretty obvious he was playing at 70% of even less. He could not RUN thus taking away his best weapon. Why that happened I don't know but I do know what I watched happening in those games. Went 0-3 as well we should have considering his medical condition. It was really unfair to T-Mart because that OU game WAS NOT his fault imo but he took the brunt of all the negative comments!
Bottom line for me is if there is any questions regarding medical issues then they don't play! I think it was obvious in the UCLA game that T-Mart was having problems running! Why he wasn't sat down in that game or Minn is a mystery! I hope in the future when any player is nicked up enough to make them much less effective they are on the bench..... You don't need to be medical staff to have seen T-Mart playing when he should not have been imo................

Jordan Westerkamp was the most clearly hurt of them all from what I saw. After he muffed that punt, he tried to move toward the ball and fell. He didn't slip, he wasn't knocked over, it wasn't a weird twist, he simple fell from the pain in his hip because he could not move.
Yep. I forgot about him. He was hurt going out of bounds on the punt return. They caught his hip just right. I remember that pain and it is no fun. With that wind he had to be able to move and he just couldn't do it.
I'm sure Taylor told coaches he was ready to play he more than likely looked ok during the week of practice and even in the game. He was obviously not himself but I'm sure playing was his decision.
If Taylor is indeed done I would still like to see him take at least one snap in the Iowa game so that we can cheer him for being a Husker!
I didn't see the "clear struggles" people talk about against Minn. I saw a guy who was rusty and fell back into some habits (for example throwing motion) but generally played decent ball (had some really nice throws, a few of which were dropped).
If there were a way to get him warmed up again (there's not), I'd much rather have him starting than TA at this point.
He would have been seven. Don't think he could have held that Mauser long enough. But he might have been big for his age.

I guess I'm a little lost on the whole situation, but this is the best I came up with. Taylor is our 3 year starter coming into this season. Bo says he's clearly our #1 qb. He starts the first 3 games and gets hurt in one of them, all of them, not sure. Then he sits out and we're told he won't play until he's 100%. Then we start him at Minnesota and clearly he was still hurt. Doing so burns his chance at a medical redshirt. Then we're told he won't play again until he's 100%, but now we find out he probably won't play again this year. So by playing him against Minnesota they essentially ended Taylor's career at Nebraska.
I'm trying to logically think through this, but I keep coming up with either Taylor, the coaches, or both didn't want him back at Nebraska next year. Maybe he/they knew Taylor would be the back-up, not the starter? But for the Taylor supporters, why wouldn't we want him back for another year? A healthy Taylor has proven to be a weapon on offense. He has also been an unstable force on the team according to others.
Somewhere along the way, the decision was made to play Taylor one more time, and that would finish his career. I'm guessing they picked Minnesota as possibly the easiest to win. Turns out that wasn't a very good call, but it did serve its purpose. Taylor's career is likely over and any QB controversy went with it.
