Jarques McClellion of American Heritage-Boca-Delray High School in Delray Beach, Florida, is currently rated as a three-star prospect by 247Sports, Rivals and Scout, and is not yet rated by ESPN. McClellion, who was offered by Nebraska a little more than two weeks ago, already has several offers from schools in the SEC, ACC, Big Ten and Big 12. Nebraska is looking to add two or three cornerbacks in the 2017 class along with a couple safeties. McClellion has the physical traits that defensive coordinator Mark Banker and defensive backs coach Brian Stewart desire. Jarques is over 6 feet tall and has the physicality and athleticism to play corner or safety on the college level. That versatility is something this staff values. I had the opportunity to interview Jarques in an attempt ...

The search took roughly 17 days. But on Monday afternoon, several sources began reporting John Parrella was set to become Nebraska's new defensive line coach. Mike Riley made the news official when he announced the hiring today. My initial reaction to the choice was mixed. I have always felt programs the caliber of Nebraska should primarily hire proven coaches. It ...

Nebraska's search for its new defensive line coach is coming up on its third week. The fact that things have been so quiet during Mike Riley's vetting process shouldn't come as a big surprise. There were little-to-no leaks when Riley initially filled out his staff last December. ...

The 2015 Nebraska football season officially came to an end last Saturday following a 37-29 victory against a good UCLA team in the Foster Farms Bowl. It was a nice win to end the season. The Bruins were ranked in the Top 15 to open the year and spent 11 of the seasons 15 weeks in the Top 25 - reaching as high as No.7. After dropping to 3-6 following their loss to Purdue on Halloween, the Huskers turned the corner over the last month. Nebraska was able to end the season winning three of their last four games. That included then-No.6 Michigan State, who won the Big Ten and was a part of the four-team playoff.

Coming into a new program and immediately succeeding doesn't happen very often. Even so, no team dealt with more bad luck in 2015 than the Huskers. Nebraska's first five

The exact number of players Nebraska will take in their 2016 class is pretty fluid at this point. Mike Riley spoke a few days following the Iowa game of private discussions he has had with some players who plan to transfer. On Friday, Riley confirmed there is already one unnamed player who is no longer with the team. It's possible that other departures could be forthcoming as well.

We also learned that Maliek Collins and Vincent Valentine have both
