I think the word “expectations” has multiple meanings. People may have “expectations” of a 9-10 win season because the staff has been here for two years and need to show progress. In that context, expectation really equates more to a demand.
Then there is the other way to view the word expectation that is based more on specific aspects of the team. For example, if there were significant issues last year with ST’s and WR separation, or downfield accuracy in the pass game, have those things been “fixed”. Unfortunately, until we see the product on the field this fall, and how the changes made to fix the problems are working, we won’t know whether “expectations” of 9-10 wins are realistic as opposed to simply what fans demand for a coach in year 3.
