This really is unfortunate. This surface was/is not designed for outdoor use.

This is really stupid at this point. Not worth someone getting hurt. Someone needs to pull the plug. The players on both sides look like they are afraid to move. Not fair to them to risk their careers out there. It sucks but not all ideas turn out to be good ideas.
How about they dig a pit in the infield, water it down, and have a mud volleyball match?

Before the match, I was most concerned about the wind. Having the humidity condensing on the floor didn't even occur to me. But I have spent very little time in the Chicago area.
