We can speculate all we want but if SF and NU would have gotten TO the Indiana game 2-2 ... with Rutgers and Purdue lined up after Indiana, I think ADTA would have ridden the Frost train out till the end of the year.

Possibly. I was starting to feel like the end was near after the North Dakota game. With how poorly Northwestern faired as the season went on, that loss looked worse and worse with each passing week. It's hard to speculate, for sure. Say we made the last second FG against Georgia Southern and ended up winning in OT, I still think the seat would have been too hot to make it the rest of the year. Especially if the OU game went as sideways, or worse, than it did under Mickey.

I'd still rate the loss to Minnesota in 2020 as Nebraska's worse loss on the CFP era. Minnesota was missing 33 players.

Idk... I don't think I've ever seen anything as stupifying as the NW debacle last year.

And that's after watching 8 straight years of stupifying football. There's been some awful ones that stick out, for sure, but that was akin to blowing your own foot off with 00 buckshot.
