Woodberry removed for violating team policies.

Nebraska coach Connie Yori announced Wednesday that sophomore guard Rebecca Woodberry is no longer a member of the Husker women’s team. Woodberry was removed from NU’s roster for violating team policies.

As a redshirt freshman in 2011-12, Woodberry averaged 4.5 points and 3.3 rebounds while playing in 31 games for the 24-9 Huskers.

Good for Coach Yori. For her to have the moxie to dismiss a player of that stature, being a Gatorade All-American, says a lot for the culture coach Yori instills. With so many coaches babysitting good players you have to respect a coach that doesn't skew standards depending on player talent.
