I've skied at Winter Park around the time they had handicapped skiing events and those people are INCREDIBLE! Skiing on one leg, no legs, paralyzed from the waist down, blind skiers (yes, with the help of a guide they do ski). And ALL of them skied better than me!

Last time I was at Copper, there was a guy on a modified ski that he sat on and he was tearing it up. It was very impressive.

I like to watch because it is inspiring to see someone who is disabled in some way and still be able to compete in a sport that has provided them with a reason to be the best they can be and accomplish it better than many people that are not disabled. It is amazing! [This is not special Olympics, i.e. cognitive disabilities.] These are athletes that have overcome and succeeded to be able to even make an Olympic team. Most have a goal "to inspire people with a disability to get involved with sport and to inspire people by sharing stories they can learn or grow from".
