Watching volleyball media day. Many of the girls from other teams dress more like they are going to a beach party. One girl was wearing a tube top. Our girls were wearing professional attire.

I know some will say that does not matter. I disagree. Act professional and you will perform like a professional.

While I agree to the professional aspect, I think NIL plays a part. I've seen a video where the gals are talking about what they are wearing, right down to shoes and jewelry. I'd assume they both have some type of NIL deal and that's why that video was made. I'm sure the Nebraska volleyball players are getting social media deals not available to most volleyball players.

You watch a couple Tik Tok videos on NU volleyball and Tik Tok starts giving you all kinds of videos from the players doing social media endorsements.

May be true. However, it does not take away from my point. Are you telling me because a girl did not get as much NIL. Her only choice was a tube top?

that personal business they can act and dress how they like. at the media day tho, they represent the university and they are all business like the coach.

I said I agreed with the professional aspect.

As for the tube top, who knows maybe that was part of a social media deal, though I have my doubts on that one.

Perhaps it's a reflection of the coach as much as it is about the school, what the coach thinks is appropriate.

I still feel NU players carry themselves differently in part because of the overall package of volleyball, social media, and NIL. When that all comes together you dress differently, you act differently, and you understand the importance of a professional image.

Like John Cook, DBK is setting the standard how she wants her program to be perceived. DBK is sending the message to future recruits that this is just a small example of the standards set in the Nebraska Volleyball program.
