he’s been hit with a tidal wave of phone calls, coaches from high-major programs interested in adding a springy 6-foot-9, 230-pound forward with two seasons of eligibility remaining.
Kyle averaged 13.1 points and 6.6 rebounds per game for the Jackrabbits this past season.
With starting power forward Josiah Allick out of eligibility, Nebraska is in need of size, physicality and rebounds. The bruising Kyle is a candidate to fill that hole and provide an influx of rim protection on the defensive end. He was in the top 300 in the country in offensive rebound percentage at SDSU. His block rate of 6.7% was 80th in the nation.
Over Kyle’s two seasons with the Jackrabbits, he faced power conference teams, like Alabama and Arkansas in his freshman year. What turned out to be the final game of his SDSU career was against Iowa State in the NCAA tournament.
Those were the games that allowed him to believe he could compete at higher levels of college basketball, even before he ever thought about transferring.
Sounds like a good replacement for Keita! Same type of playerThe portal hasn't been kind to SDSU.
Schierman at Creighton, Zeke Mayo a two-time 1st team Summit league performer and fringe NBA caliber player is in the portal this year and now Kyle.
Kyle needs to be surrounded by shooters has a funky FT motion, isn’t an outside shooting threat but is a beast inside.
For what I've seen, limited on Keita, and Diop, an upgradeSounds like a good replacement for Keita! Same type of player
