JD was a real good player for us, easily our best offensive guy in 2019 and probably one of the to 5 WR's of the decade. He made some real tough catches and took some big hits for his trouble. If he'd have declared following 2019 instead of transferring he'd have had a short at a late round pick/priority UDFA. As is, if he goes pros he'll be the 85th man on a 90 man camp roster. If he doesn't show quick, he'll be shown the door.
In the pros (if it would have been last year, or in one of the next two seasons), to stick past training camp he'll have had to prove his worth on special teams, kinda like Stanley Morgan. JD is quick and tough, important traits on the return units. Maybe he can get a roll as a gunner/returner. If he's able to do that he has a spot as a 5th WR, and maybe he can work his way up from there. Best case - Cole Beasley/Adam Humphries. Worst Case - Jordan Westercamp.
