We are ranked 23-25 next week and we beat Indiana by 3
I doubt we get ranked, I just don't see it happening. And I'm honestly ok with it.We are ranked 23-25 next week and we beat Indiana by 3
It would be great to not be ranked vs Indiana (more likely they underestimate us) but I would guess we’ll jump in and maybe to some oddly high spot like 21.I doubt we get ranked, I just don't see it happening. And I'm honestly ok with it.
I feel like we were giving up a lot of yards even aside from the penalties. In first half Maryland had 300 yards, averaged 8.8 ypc, and it seemed like receivers were running free in a way we haven’t seen before this season. Like that one where Durr caught it already headed uphill full speed and outran our D 50+ yards to the end zone. I think Maryland came in with a head of steam after the blowout last week and played well, is part of it.Honestly, I rewatch the game. Without the penalties that were questionable in my opinion, the defense was not bad. I think that was proven with the second half.
Nobody in the top 25 lost to an unranked team. We might pick up a few more votes, but we won't be ranked.I doubt we get ranked, I just don't see it happening. And I'm honestly ok with it.

Agreed. NU of old would be.Nobody in the top 25 lost to an unranked team. We might pick up a few more votes, but we won't be ranked.
I could be totally wrong. I feel like the voters eventually start respecting undefeateds though and there are few of those now (i think 15 assuming Cincy loses). And we haven’t been only winning, but winning by big margins.Just don't see it happening
If we are rated tomorrow in either poll I'll be shockedI could be totally wrong. I feel like the voters eventually start respecting undefeateds though and there are few of those now (i think 15 assuming Cincy loses). And we haven’t been only winning, but winning by big margins.
It wasn’t half time adjustments. It was in-half adjustments. Several posters have referenced a putrid 1st half. Our second quarter was very good scoring 21 points and reversing our 38 yards offense from the first quarter into a 157 yard 2nd quarter. We are taking steps. Still so much to work on, but the fact that we're making halftime adjustments, and playing tougher in the 4Q is a big deal.
We will not be ranked. We are around 31 in both polls and nobody in the bottom of the top 25 lost. Unranked teams in front of us such as Wisconsin, Pitt, and Wake Forest all won too. At best we go to around 28We are ranked 23-25 next week and we beat Indiana by 3
I don’t think they’re going to underestimate us. Their coach mentioned the Nebraska game during his post game interview yesterday while he was walking off the Rutgers field. It would be great to not be ranked vs Indiana (more likely they underestimate us) but I would guess we’ll jump in and maybe to some oddly high spot like 21.
The pick 6 was huge.It wasn’t half time adjustments. It was in-half adjustments. Several posters have referenced a putrid 1st half. Our second quarter was very good scoring 21 points and reversing our 38 yards offense from the first quarter into a 157 yard 2nd quarter.
Defensively we made great adjustments too. They had 209 yards and 16 points the first quarter. The second quarter it was 7 points with zero passing yards and 97 rushing yards to include a single run of 58 yards by the quarterback. The remaining running game was 39 yards on 23 carries.
2nd quarter adjustments won this game.
It was. They were coming towards our end of the stadium and all I could think was keep it to a field goal and a two score lead. If someone would have bet me before that pick that we would be leading at half time I’d be out a farm right now.The pick 6 was huge.
