What would it take for you to sip the Kool-Aid again?

I wouldn't even say beating teams that qualify as upsets ... how about winning those toss-up games ... Illinois, Michigan State, Wisconsin, Iowa, Minnesota, USC, Washington. We've lost the majority of those kind of games under SF and frankly under MR.

Yeah our schedule has Indiana, Oregon, tOSU ... if we win every other game but those ... I would suggest progress has been made.
I agree, need to win most of those toss-up games, too. Some years a few of those teams end up being "upset" type games, but the point still holds true.

The MSU outcome did nothing to move my needle.

We should have won this game, and we did, but the repeated 3rd quarter slumps and the intermittent questionable staff decisions are going to cost us games that we would otherwise have won. That stuff needs cleaned up.

There's going to be a LOT of Kool-Aid poured out this week. Resist.

I’m not sure I’ve been drinking much Kool-aid since the Pelini days but honestly, I think nine wins this year (including bowl) is likely. The team isn’t spectacular or flashy but they seem solid. Leadership, fundamentals, overall talent and skill look pretty good.

To truly sip the koolaid they have to show consistency and improvement. This needs to show up with 7-9 wins. I also think they need a big win agains Iowa, Ohio st, Indians, or Oregon.

I can't argue. We are about where we thought we were. Still, it's a step forward. I've said that this is not a Fitz team yet, but they (MSU) show signs and toughness that they didn't have last year.

It's a solid win over a physical B1G team. We have plenty of things to work on, mostly boneheaded stuff that we should be able to eliminate (with proper coaching...). Shot ourselves in the foot too much, but still we pulled away as the clock ticked away. We're learning how to win these games.

Agree, 1,000,000%, this team is nowhere near it's potential.....c'mon coaches get these kids inside the winning mindset.

This team could go very far if they get the right mindset. It's all on the coaching staff.

We do not have a talent excuse this year.

Disagree. Look at the score predictions from national press. There was a lot of people picking MSU or a super close game. Nebraska winning handily is a great sign our PROGRAM is on the right track.

I’ll add that we need to stop moving the goal post negatively on our past opponents. Ohio won, North Dakota won, Bowling Green had an impressive showing against an undefeated South Florida. We have beat the spread…..expectations, 4 games in a row. No reason not to enjoy it while having reasonable concerns
