What does 7-5 or even 8-5 do?

I predicted an 8-4 season.
While it took me 1 1/3 season to want Satt replaced, HCMR pulled the trigger and got it done, thanks to his relationship with DH.
I can't help but wonder "what if", it's human nature, as it relates to our win / loss record if just a few things went differently.
I'm happy with the direction this program is going and would love to see this momentum carry through the Iowa and bowl game.

What would 8-5 do?
For the team, I think it'd solidify the thought that Satterfield sucked. They could have had at least two more wins, if they had scored an average of say 31 points.
For us as fans it'd probably mean that next year's score prediction contest would be wildly in favor of a lot of 10-3 or better with 450 total point etc. The Kool-Aid would be pumping.

7-5 or 8-5 has the same effect imo. It keeps most fans engaged and with evidence excited that we are getting better. Also shows we are on track with Rhule's process, even though it's been kinda rough and unnecessarily painful getting here.

6-5 made me happier than I have been in 10 years. 7-5 I start talking smack to other fan bases and 8-5 I act like it's 1995. Improved record + great facilities :) We aren't that far away from taking down the big boys right now. Only 4 pts to tOSU. Probably a bad play caller away from 10 wins this season. 8-5 you get to project forward without being a liar that nebraska is a good place to play

I would rather Nebraska finish 8-5 than 7-6 or 6-7.

Every Nebraska fan that pays a membership to post on this message board knows/understands the momentum that can be gained within the football program by finishing on a 3 game winning streak or the possible ramifications if they lose the next 2 games.

BTW…you might want to change your thread title because Nebraska can only go 7-5 if they beat Iowa and declines a bowl invitation which is ludicrous.

Well 7-5 = 2 and 8-5 = 3 that's all I know that those numbers can do

Now that Nebraska is currently 6-6, how does the record impact the program before the bowl game?
