Not so much the "win total", but it would be really cool to end the season on a WINNING STREAK.

For the fanbase? I think if we see another offensive output like Wisconsin in either the Iowa game (unlikely due to weather) or the bowl game, then I think you'll see a ton of hype this offseason. Dylan looking like that in Wisconsin gave me hope that we didn't completely break him already. That alone has to give a ton of guys excitement. Defense leaves a lot to be desired right now but I think we'll get that figured out; knowing that your offense isn't going to hang you out to dry the second something bad happens certainly has to help.
A lot of people said it would take a while for the offense to catch up with TW's defense.

Would be a very nice step forward to win out. Especially considering who the opponents were. Really dislike Wisconsin and Iowa. Mostly because they keep kick our azzez up between our ears each year.
8-5 especially, would lend credence to Rhule's reputation as a program builder. Temple and Baylor both ended up ~.500 in his second year there.
We're on the right track. He's proven to me he wants to win and will sometimes leave his comfort zone to do so.
I don't watch closely, but I think we lose a lot of talent this year. It'll be interesting to see how he utilizes the portal and NIL to keep moving forward.

It helps that our defense is nose diving off a cliff. Maybe Snow wasn't the right person to evaluate the defense?

I think it's scheme. Not enough pressure and too soft of coverage. Rushing 3 and dropping 8 in the 2nd quarter against Wisconsin....
Its massive for recruiting and retention. You can sell that you are going to turn it around, but not until there is some evidence of it do recruits and players want to stay or come for sure? MR is a great salesman and if we get 8 wins, it gives him some proof to an extent, that what he is selling is legit. That will really help players come and stay

I hear what you are saying, but we had players out and we were playing a freshman that is going redshirt this season. He has only played in one other game! Disappointing, yes, but a learning experience for some! GBR
