It seems like Austin Christensen is the only one of those 5 guys that will be missed. It's going to be a young team, so it could be a long season. Hot seat for Coach Erstad if he doesn't have a winning season this year?

I don't know the circumstances in this case, but I will say in general that I am more open to cutting scholarships in equivalency sports than I am in head count sports. They just don't have the headroom to keep non-performers on scholarship and still compete at a high level.

Again, I don't know if that is the case here.

Miroshnichenko and Leuty — both freshmen last season — combined for just one at-bat in 2015. Chunn, a sophomore, didn't play.

I don't think that these 3 will be missed at all.

I don't think any of the losses are too significant. Unfortunately, it seems Christensen never really found a role to settle into and reach the potential many thought he had (probably through no fault of his own).

Hard to say, as these aren't that bad of stats for a part time role.

Christensen had 72 at-bats as a junior last year, hitting .264 in a part-time starting role. He also recorded a 2.45 ERA in six appearances. The 6-foot-5 left-hander started two postseason games in 2014.
