Allison Weidner is on :Hair Fire:(in a good way) against Michigan State!! 8 points 5 Assists 1 Rebound so far.

She's playing the most confident I've seen her since her first knee injury.

Huskers up 66-55 on the 20th ranked team in the country.

Markowski has her usual 20 pts already, with 6 rebounds.

It was a great atmosphere. People were going wild for Weidner.

This performance was so important and so amazing to watch (on BIG+ while listening to Matt and Jeff) because the mental part of coming back from injuries is often bigger than the physical part. We all knew Allison would be back physically. That game was the first time she was obviously "playing free" and didn't have any lingering worries about her knees in the back of her mind. Now that she knows she can trust her knees again, I think we'll see the Allision Weidner we saw a few years ago.

Between Matt, Jeff I didn't know who was going to blow a gasket first.

Weidner did not make the trip to Rutgers today due to a knee injury suffered in practice yesterday. Announcing crew says more details to come during the broadcast.

Oh my.

I missed the beginning of the broadcast and wondered why Allison hadn't played yet. This is just devistating, and I'm not even talking about basketball. She's fought so hard to play the game she loves. A lesser person would have hung it up already.

PER MATT: OUT FOR THE YEAR.

Allison has been through so much, had a good year so far. I think she deserved better. Sorry it didn't happen that way. I hope she is OK.
