I think that’s true at the moment but it will get changed because of the $$$$ soon. I do not believe we’re going to the horrible Pin Stripe Bowl..... There’s lots of Huskers fans that will say thanks... but no thanks after waiting 8 years! Now our fans get tortured to go where they get to freeze their butts off while probably getting robbed. I live about 120 miles from where that bowl is and I wouldn’t go if they PAID ME to go! :Lol:

I forgot about Pinstripe—we definitely could go there. NYC in Dec is festive! We would not get a lot of fans flying for that one. But there are fans in the tri-state to make up for it.

Sporting News has us in the Bronx vs Syracuse. :thumbsup:

I'd think that if Iowa goes to Duke's Mayo, it'll be either us or Minnesota in Music City. Rutgers would go to Pinstripe since they're so close. Whoever isn't chosen for Music City would go to Rate. A lot of folks are hoping for Music City vs. OU but the Sooners can't get chosen ahead of LSU, who has 2 more wins than they do. Just pray LSU gets chosen for something better.

This is how I see it (I could be totally off)

Cheez-It Citrus Bowl : Illinois

ReliaQuest Bowl : Michigan

Duke's Mayo Bowl : Iowa

TransPerfect Music City Bowl : Nebraska

Bad Boy Mowers Pinstripe Bowl : Rutgers

Guaranteed Rate Bowl : Minnesota

Sun Bowl : USC

Game Above Sports Bowl: Washington

Definitely a few story lines between the 2 teams.

Not sure the matchup would catch the eyes of the overall viewing public but Nebraska fans can’t be picky after 8 years.
 
CBS Sports has updated their Bowl predictions and has Nebraska VS Boston College in the Pinstripe Bowl I know after 8 years I should not complain but that's a pretty bland bowl match up in a Expensive and Cold weather Setting
I just looked Rutgers went to the Pinstripe last year so that's probably why they are slotted to the Bowl in Phoenix :(

If locations have a say in which teams come to their cities bowl games, I can't imagine a major bowl not wanting the best traveling college football team in the nation.

Ah, that makes sense. Music City is still a possibility though, unless they opt for the Gophers based on better record

Plus that bowl can pick BC or Syracuse which makes sense for them geographically. I doubt the Pinstripe is thinking about NU fans who travel.

NYC in Dec is a shite-hole... it’s also dangerous and VERY expensive... Nothing like the Bronx for lots of holiday cheer. :oops:
It would be punishment for Huskers fans to have waited 8 years then expect them to show up in beautiful Bronx, NY in Dec!

On the other hand after that unbelievable clown show in Iowa City perhaps it's fitting punishment for the team...... ;)

When was the last time you were in NY in Dec? Or anytime? Not any more dangerous than KC…I go all the time and love it. The subway stops right in front of the stadium and you can go back to tourist-filled Midtown right after. You are right about one thing—it’s very expensive in Dec.

NYC has had milder weather the past few winters than Omaha. But it’s a cold location so Husker fans would be disappointed with that.
