A bowl game was the floor of a successful season, imo.

I’m actually hoping we get a favorable bowl matchup. 7-5 would look much nicer and provide some momentum.

I agree would rather play a team we match up well with than play an SEC team in SEC country as usual

Another crappy loss to Iowa on a game ending field goal. It sucks, but I’m still proud of how our defense played. I m proud of Ty Robinson. Our offensive line showed huge improvements in the run game the last three weeks. Nebraska was the more physical team on both lines of scrimmage. Special teams and a couple dropped passes killed us. If we keep Holgorsen I think the future is bright. We get to go to a bowl game and after eighth long years, that alone is a huge achievement.

We are on schedule...second year was getting to a bowl...not happy with how we got there but Rhule is chugging away.

Slow and steady but just make it to the top and I will be happy. The worse thing Coach Rhule could do is change his way in mid stream lets just keep grinding away and finish this year 7-6 and hopefully some coaching upgrades and spring practice will be here before we know it

It would be very expensive to fly for sure. I would go in AZ but that’s a cheap game for me. That game is 12/26 so many would have to travel Christmas Day. Not ideal for travelers but there are many NE fans living in AZ or nearby to drive.

It’s frustrating we let one get away for like the 157th time post-Frank. That said, bowling is way better than not bowling. I think we’ll show.

We were also one play short of beating 3 rivals in one season. We don’t suck, but we are broken. There’s a difference. To paraphrase Hemingway, let’s hope next year we are strong at the broken places.

For sure. Fans are blowing off steam after another kick to the old nugget pouch. Once they walk it off and then rub some dirt in it, they’ll show.

I hope NU goes to the Detroit Bowl and plays a MAC team. I don't want any part of LSU, Oklahoma, Vandy, Texas Tech, Baylor, etc. I also know that playing Ohio, Bowling Green, Central Michigan, etc are not easy games by any means, but, I like NU's chances against a MAC team than other conferences.

I laughed but it's true if ya want to be optimistic for a win.

Then as they say, better to play the best opponents ya can. We could be surprised by improvement under DH with this time allotment.
