Last Time Out

• Nebraska will try to rebound from its first setback of the season, a 64-49 loss to Creighton on Sunday, Nov. 19. The game against the Jays capped a stretch of four games in eight days for the Big Red.

• Despite the setback, Nebraska’s defense continued to work toward long-term improvement, holding its fourth straight opponent to fewer than 70 points

• A pair of Husker freshmen are atop Nebraska’s offensive statistics early in the season. Taylor Kissinger, a 6-1 guard from Minden, Neb., is averaging a team-high 13.3 points per game while leading the Big Red with nine three-pointers on 42.9 percent shooting (9-21) from long range.

• Kate Cain, a 6-5 freshman center from Middletown, N.Y., ranks second among the Huskers in scoring (11.0 ppg) and rebounding (6.3 rpg) while leading the Huskers in blocked shots (2.5 bpg).

• Husker sophomore Nicea Eliely made her first appearance of the season against Creighton.

Scouting the Buffalo Bulls
• Thursday’s game with Nebraska will be Buffalo’s first game in 10 days.

• Buffalo travels to Florida with a 2-0 record having scored more than 70 points in each of its first two games. The Bulls, who return four starters from last year’s team that finished 22-10 overall, scored 87 points in an opening-night win over Delaware before putting up 76 points on UMES on Nov. 13.

• Buffalo’s top returning scorer is senior Stephanie Reid, who averaged 11.5 points per game a year ago, is averaging 8.5 points, 8.0 assists and 4.0 steals per game.

• 5-9 senior guard Katherine Ups is averaging 4.5 points, 5.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists.

• 6-3 senior Cassie Oursler is tied for the team lead with 12.0 points per game. She has added 2.5 blocks per contest for a Bulls team that is averaging 8.5 blocks per game.

• Senior Mariah Suchan, a 6-1 forward, has averaged 6.0 points, 6.5 rebounds and 2.5 steals through two games.

• 5-9 Junior Cierra Dillard is averaging 11.0 points, 6.0 assists and 4.5 steals per game in 24.5 minutes per contest. Dillard started alongside current Husker guard Bria Stallworth at UMass in 2015-16, when Dillard averaged a team-leading 15.5 points per game.

The announcers on the streaming video are MIA!!!
Really doltish; I think I heard one of them yawn, just before halftime.
Matt & Jeff are really antimated. A close game all the way, 56-55, Huskers at the end of 3! :Cheer2::Cheer2::Cheer2:

Anybody know the final score (Had a date with a turkey and missed the ending ) When I came back the live stats page was 0-0.)

Anyway, whoever won it was an exciting game; piss-poor tournament though. Maybe 200 in attendance, No score box on the video, On-line Announcers were dolts :Stickouttongue:, never mentioned the scores, except I think I heard them yawning. :Signhuh:

I guess my point is (that I neglected to mention ) I think it would be hard for Any team to get 'Up' for a game played on the road in an empty Gym.

(not to mention the lackadaisical announcing - when they announced anything at all)
