• Nebraska will face North Carolina Central for the first time in school history on Saturday. It marks the fourth consecutive season that the Huskers have faced at least one team from the state of North Carolina, with games against Duke (2012-13, 2014-15, North Carolina (2013-14) and High Point (2014-15). Nebraska also will face North Carolina State in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge at Pinnacle Bank Arena on Dec. 3.

• Coach Vanessa Taylor brings her fourth North Carolina Central squad to Lincoln to face the Huskers for the first time in school history.

• The Lady Eagles are coming off a 57-48 season-opening loss to the Fighting Camels of Campbell University in Durham, N.C., on Monday night.

• North Carolina Central went 7-22 last season, including a 5-11 mark in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC). The Lady Eagles return their second-leading scorer from a year ago, Morgan Jones. The 5-9 junior guard averaged 9.1 points and 2.7 rebounds while starting all 29 games as a sophomore. She managed eight points and five boards in the opener against Campbell, going just 1-of-9 from three-point range. Last season, Jones hit a team-high 50-of-180 threes.

Huskers lead 17-15 after one quarter. Missing a lot of easy lay ins. Should be up by more.

Per announcers, a frustrating quarter for the Huskers, nothing going their way, but Ladies still maintaining their lead. 56-39 @ the end of 3. Lets finish strong! :cheer2:
