White Shines in Husker Starting Debuts
Nebraska has received an immediate boost in the backcourt from three-time first-team All-Big Sky guard Darian White. Strong in all phases, White is averaging 12.0 points, 6.5 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.5 steals through the first two games.

Freshman Potts Smoking Hot in Opening Week
Two-time Missouri MaxPreps High School Player of the Year Natalie Potts has made an instant impact on Nebraska’s lineup. The 6-2 forward from O’Fallon, Mo., averaged 12.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, 2.0 steals and 1.0 block in her opening week of the regular season.

Alcorn State Lady Braves
Lead by long-time head coach Nate Kilbert, Alcorn State returns four starters and its top four scorers from a team that finished 12-17 overall and 8-10 in the SWAC last year.

The Lady Braves opened this season with a 77-42 loss at Mississippi State (Nov. 6). MSU advanced to 2023 NCAA Tournament after taking a 73-65 overtime loss to Nebraska (Nov. 26, 22) in Puerto Rico.

Jaz is injured. She needed help to get off the court because of a leg/foot injury and went directly to the locker room.

Annika Stewart is already out tonight because of a lower leg injury.

Matt Coatney said he believes Jaz rolled her ankle.

The Huskers now only have 8 players available tonight.

15-6 4:14 1st Q

Jaz is back on the bench wearing a boot

Jeff Griesch says the Husker medical staff is trying to reduce the swelling of Jaz's ankle.

Husker offense is on fire, and the defense is on lockdown.

End of 1st Quarter Huskers 29 Alcorn State 8

Huskers finished the 1st quarter on a 22-2 run.

Just got a look at the Husker bench.

Both Jaz and Annika Stewart have a boot on their right ankle.

Alcorn State is playing football on the basketball court. They're running through screens. One of their players already has three fouls. A few others have two.

As @SWVAHusker has mentioned, Lady Huskers are having a night of it, leading Alcorn State 49-15, even without Jaz Shelley for much of the first half and Annie Stewart. Weidner, Krull, Stewart, and MM not available.

Per Matt Coatney, Annika's lower leg injury is still being evaluated.

The freshman have definitely stepped up tonight.

Hake replaced Jaz in the starting lineup to begin the 2nd half.

Darian White was a great pickup by Amy Williams. She runs the floor with her head up always ready to pass to anybody who's gotten ahead of the defense.

End of the 3rd Q

Huskers 67 Alcorn State 27

The Huskers only allowed Alcorn State to score one basket the last five minutes of the quarter.

Hake has 12 points and a career high 7 rebounds.

FINAL SCORE

Huskers 79 Alcorn State 32

Callin Hake finishes with 14 points and what I believe is a career high 7 rebounds. Scared the daylights out of everybody too...went down under the basket with a cramp in her lower leg.

Natalie Potts did what the B1G Freshman of the Week does...7 points 11 Rebounds 3 Blocks
Logan Nissley had a nice game off the bench with 10 points.
Alexis Markowski finished one rebound from a double double. 20 points 9 Rebounds
