A live video stream of the game will be provided to subscribers of B1G+. The game is on BTN Plus (BTN+) subscription required.

There are some sixteen WBB games scheduled on BTN+ through March 3, 2024, so you may want to subscribe to watch (subscription costs $9.95 per month for a Single-School (Nebraska) Pass).

You will also be able to see Six MBB Games that will be shown on BTN+ (including tomorrow's season opener vs Lindenwood) and Three Women's Volleyball Matches on BTN+ with a Nebraska Pass).

We subscribe at the beginning of volleyball and pause at the end of basketball. Occasionally, we'd keep it through some of the baseball season if Husker baseball looks promising.

(My wife is an Iowa grad, so we buy the full conference pass for a little more per month).

Anyone watching live?

Just finished watching the game.

Defense was so good somebody should have thrown the :skull:. NW State shot only 21.8 from the floor and 25% on 3's. Nissley played so well you'd forget she's a freshman. Jaz had a "quiet" 17 points.

I was also really pleased to see that the free throw shooting seems to have improved over last year. Huskers hit 28 of 33 FTs (84.8%)

The game also featured the worst flop I've ever seen, men's or women's bball. Of course the refs called the foul on Jaz and completely ignored the fact the NWSU player hadn't been touched by anybody.

Final Score: Huskers - 90; Northwestern State - 42
Game Recap:
Lincoln - Nebraska jumped to a 16-0 lead on its way to a 90-42 season-opening win over Northwestern State on Monday afternoon at Pinnacle Bank Arena.

Playing in front of the second-largest opening-day crowd (7,065) in Nebraska women's basketball history, the Huskers shot to a double-digit lead in the first five minutes and pushed the lead to 46-12 at halftime. The 12 points allowed by Nebraska's defense tied for the second-lowest total in school history, trailing only a 10-point first half by Illinois in 2018.

Six Huskers finished the game in double figures, led by Jaz Shelley's game-high 17 points. The graduate guard from Moe, Australia knocked down a trio of three-pointers while adding a game-high six assists to go along with five rebounds and a game-high three steals.
Fellow graduate guard Darian White (Boise, Idaho) produced an outstanding performance in her Husker regular-season debut, contributing 13 points, a game-high nine rebounds, four assists and three steals.
True freshman Natalie Potts rounded out the six Huskers in double figures with 10 points and five rebounds while providing outstanding defense in nearly 20 minutes of action in her first career start.

As a team, Nebraska hit 42.6 percent (26-61) of its shots from the field, including 10-of-32 (.313) three-pointers. The Huskers lived at the free throw line, connecting on 28-of-33 free throws (.848). Nebraska won the battle of the boards, 51-33, and posted a 21-14 edge in the turnover department.

Natalie Potts (6’2” freshman from Missouri) started the game & it’s easy to see why. Very athletic, always in the right place, tormenting on defense, can dish, and really has an awareness not usually available to a freshman. Darrian White (5’6” grad xfer) will have opponents breaking out fly swatters she is such a pest on defense. She will help plug the gap left by Weidner’s loss since she is fearless driving into the paint. Amy has added some nice (much needed) pieces to the team.
