Lady Huskers lose, 76-67, as Lady Hokies come back from a 16 point first half deficit. Lack of concentration, some old bugaboos from last season rear their ugly head in the second half; lack of intensity, poor passing leading to turnovers. Couldda used RB43-Rachel Blackburn in there!

Emily Wood scored a career-high eight points in the first half to help the Huskers to a 16-point first-half lead at Virginia Tech.

Blacksburg, Va. - Jessica Shepard tied her season high with 25 points and added her third double-double of the season with 14 rebounds, but the Nebraska women's basketball team faded down the stretch in a 76-67 road loss to unbeaten Virginia Tech in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge at Cassell Coliseum on Thursday night.

The Huskers slipped to 3-4 on the season, while the Hokies improved to 7-0.
