NO Potts....it's done. She's the one who was clearly going to lead us this season. Hopefully Lex can improve her FT shooting because the book on her in the B1G is double team her and foul her often. The rest of the cast has got a lot of slack to pick up, the one player you couldnt lose...man
So sad we lost Potts. Gonna be tough without her! Plays like an All American.

Markowski's FT shooting this year is an outlier, she'll be just fine. She shot 71% last year, 61% as a sophomore, and 65% as a freshman. If Big Ten teams want to put her on the line that's absolutely fine with me. The "book" on her is wrong.

I just took a look at the top 50 players in the NCAA in FT%. Less than 10 forwards/centers in the entire NCAA are in the top 50 in FT%. In the Big Ten, only 5 forwards/centers shoot better than 70% from the line. Of those, Regan Bass at Purdue, Lilly Meister at IU and Hannah Stuelkhe at Iowa are significant offensive contributors for their team. Kiki Iriafen at USC just misses the cutoff, shooting 69.2% from the line currently. If Markowski shoots 65-70% from the line that'll get her into the top 25 of overall players in the Big Ten this year.

Overall, the Huskers will be okay without Potts. This year they have penetrating guards like Allison and Britt. They didn't have that last year. They haven't had that since Sam Haiby, pre-knee injury.

Not sure if anyone cares, but its been fun to watch Jess Shepard coming off the bench for the Minnesota Lynx -- she got another double-double last night, and it appears she's healthy and an important part of the team with the best record in the WNBA
