Vs Troy

Great win. So happy for the players and long-suffering fans. I am happy for myself but I feel like there are a lot of folks who have put so much into this program--I am happier for them than myself (if that makes sense).

Enjoy it, Husker fans.

But now the real goal . . . let's get to the Sweet 16 and then show the world what the opposing coach (USC coach, I think) meant when he said, "this is a sneaky good final four team."

had to make a post. The dragon has FINALLY been slayed. I used to post here alot, especially during the Tim Smiles era, and have been quiet for a long time. but, as a Back to the Future post to my 2014 self, NU and Hoiberg have FINALLY DONE IT. well done Fred, well done.

Man, this was the game we needed. you could feel the tightness, IMO. Jmar had a few "high dribbles" where the ball just wasn't quite where it normally is, the missed layups early on, them hitting (3) 3s i a row, it had that feel at the start...... and with every shot that went in for Dear Ol NU, you could feel the pressure valve slowly release. Certainly, we all would have taken a 1point victory, but the amount of shots that fell, from a variety of people, both inside and outside, that HAS to be a huge confidence boost. Mast had a fine game, but just imagine if some of his 3s went down. We win by 40. Feels like his outside shot is still the last piece of the puzzle to recapture the Nov/Dec magic that NU had. Either way, this game and how it played out was about as good as we could have POSSIBLY asked for, in terms of getting the win, releasing all the historic pressure of this game, seeing shots fall, and a HUGE confidence boost going into the next one.

Nebraska is playing with House money now, and that has to feel good. There always pressure to win, no doubt, but this game they just got past, had so much pressure NOT to lose. Getting past this hurdle is huge, obviously. GBR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Welcome back. Hope to see more of you!

Congratulations Huskers!!

I really respect LarstheRed on this board, not that I don’t many others, but he was so right in previous posts when NU was struggling a little at the end of BIG 10 season. Watching games today, it seems like different basketball. Refs just not allowing players to hold and mug shooters. There was still plenty of contact and physicality but just not the blatant holds and crap the BIG 10 refs let teams get away with.

IMO this is a much better game watch
Watched the second half and OT of the first game against Purdue as I dvr'd it. Pretty certain what Cluff did to Berke is illegal in 49 states.

Troy tried to pull some of that same crap that B1G teams did throughout the entire second half of the season. Refs called it, the teams had to adjust, and the guys could actually play basketball. With about 4 minutes left in the game, I think I remember there being only about 3 team fouls TOTAL up to that point in the second half!

Thinking the late tip off is due to Nebraska fans packing the arena and will be easier for the arena to have them all for the second game than the first and trying to herd people out and people back in for the Houston-A&M game.

OK City Chamber of Commerce........you are welcome!

Best season ever!

pretty sure it is all one ticket for both games.

Seems about right.
