Will start by saying despite growing up in the burbs of Philly, I have been a Carolina fan since the days of Phil Ford. I heard for years how Dean could not win the big one, til he did. Have also been a Husker fan in football since Johnny the Jet won my heart. Because of the football team, I learned to love the volleyball team and baseball team. But I started following NU basketball in the days of Dave Hoppen and Rich King. The Piatkowski teams were good too. But we always seemed to get a crappy draw in the tourney. Something happened over the last few years. Players like James Palmer, Petteway, Kesei, etc. started to infiltrate. We got good. I think a lightbulb went off during the Crown. We believed. Jemarcus came back. Mast got healthy. Sam was Sam. Frager (sky's the limit) started gaining confidence. Then we lost Essegian. And Sandfort got his chance. Praise God for Pryce Sandfort. I am a proud Nebrasketball fan. We started nervous and Pryce started to hit. He took the team with him. You can see Frager gain confidence. It was great to see them ice it early and for our team and fans to celebrate early. I hope we can keep our edge through Saturday as the pressure is off. Go have fun boys and beat the Richie Riches. GBR!
