Vs Squawkeyes part 3

It doesn’t contradict everything else … the ACC was soft. Extremely soft. Inflated Duke’s record. Do you disagree with that? Should not the injuries factor in on their seeding? It is supposed to be a factor according to the NCAA.

Duke played a tough non conference and that helps support a number 1 seed.

I’m ok with them getting a 1-seed but I do think they’re in bit over-rated especially with the injury concerns.

The ACC wasn't that soft, it's not like it was a mid major conference. And they lost once in conference on the road by 3 in a rivalry game.
I guess I'm not sure what the argument is. Even with the injuries, they won 4 in a row heading into the NCAA tourney. They earned and deserved a 1 seed.

They won 4 in a row against ACC competition.

ACC is clearly the 4 best conference well behind the SEC, B12 and B10.

The ACC is 5-7 in the tournament with 3 of those 5 wins by Duke.

As previously stated Duke is #1 in NET, Virginia is 12th, Louisville 17th and everyone else is below 25th. B10 has 6 teams 25th or better. The worst team in the B10 is 20+ points better than the worst team in the ACC.

The ACC is the worst P4 conference and only marginally better than the Big East. Only 3 “mid-major” conferences got multiple bids … WCC (3), A10 and MAC. The ACC is bad and Duke fluffed its record up against a weak conference.

I am NOT arguing that Duke is bad … they’ve beaten a great non-conference schedule including Michigan and MSU. I am arguing that the ACC is bad.

But this discussion started by saying Duke is overseeded and they should have been a 2 seed. Regardless of how good or bad the ACC is, Duke's record and nonconference wins show they are a 1 seed.

The only reason I thought that Duke was over-seeded was due to injuries. With the two rotation players who were out I felt that they weren’t deep enough. Michigan, Arizona have showed they were deserving of being #1. I thought Florida was better than Duke.

Duke is looking very good right now.

For the record, I will be the biggest UCONN fan in the world tomorrow.
