Vs Maryland... a great win.

After a soft pre-confetence schedule and a MSU win we still weren't sure what we had. Maryland came out swinging and the huskers came out like they had the game in the bag. But wow did they adjust. Really the first quarter was their worst of the year. Penalties. Ive learned over the 50yrs I've watched (and listened to) the huskers and college football in general the best teams adjust at halftime. So I am giving the coaches all of the credit for this one.

I actually felt a little sorry for the Maryland coach. He seemed to have gotten his team to put the UCLA debacle behind them and it looked as if this game would be a dogfight to the end. But the Big Red slammed the door on him starting with that 80yd pick six.

Now, next week we will see if Indiana can be beat. I think they can.

Maryland is better than MSU … record doesn’t reflect it but they played pretty well. Washington has gotten better.

I thought we passed the test of not letting a big mobile QB get any running explosives. We had him seeing and hearing ghosts. Jahsear Whittington was in his head. I don't know what was said but he definitely got Washington rattled.

A couple tackles not getting missed would've turned this into a much different game. Even when everything was backfiring in the first half, I literally had 0 doubt NU was going to win this game by multiple scores. There's something different about this team that's hard to put your finger on. Next Saturday is going to be awfully interesting. GBR
