Sounds about right...didn't catch the game but might catch a replay at some point. Still, not sure there's any point in watching friendlies when the team is essentially wandering in the wilderness. Unbelievable.

Saw the last 50 minutes or so. About as expected.

What I will say is that hiring Vermes would probably be a total and utter disaster. He's a GREAT small budget club coach. Maybe the best America has going for it. But he does it by using a system that SKC teaches from their youth system on up. Academy, Swope Park and SKC all do the same things. They are trained to play his system and they get that benefit. And SKC's success is absolutely built on club and coaches doing things in unison. It's actually quite impressive. But all the good things he is able to do at the club level, would not be present should he take on Team USA. Huge risk. One thing is does have going for him is that players, by all accounts, love the guy. They play hard for him night in and night out. Very much a uniter, rather than abrasive.
