What a good weekend series!

Is it just me?….. or did these Southern Cal boys look rather pudgy and soft….

Maybe it was the uniforms…..

I thought Oregon was big and rangey….. kind of what you’d expect from them and their baseball history.

But these guys…. Besides their first two starting pitchers and a couple of long ball hitters.

Huh?….. not impressed!

But everybody has those days so my impression may be totally off.

By my count, after the first 4 innings Friday night, USC had outscored us 5-0. In the 21 innings since then, we outscored USC 36-10.

Now let’s not rest on our laurels…

The rest of the schedule are “average teams”… except Kansas who is leading the Big 12 but honestly, their biggest win was against us.

But average teams have nothing to lose, and will play loose.

We need to keep the same intensity.

Keep hitting the ball and good things happen!

On to Kansas, and then Illinois.

One game at a time….. Win the series and move on!

What a series! These kids have to be full of confidence. But it's baseball, need to keep it rolling, don't peak too early. I'm loving our hometown kid (Bellevue) Grego. What a year he is having for a freshman!
