USC match

All of our matches are tough challenges but the USC match next Sunday (not televised) features a USC team that has won 7 in a row, second only to NU's 13 in a row. Biggest challenge left on the schedule?
Yes, I think it will be the toughest remaining game on our schedule.

The only other one, and one can never know, will be Indiana. Right now General Admission tickets for that match are going for over $900. That might be a Purdue like atmosphere. But after watching Indiana vs Wisconsin, I think we can hammer them.

I believe the USC match is on Big10+ but you do have to purchase a membership to view.

If you do not have Big10+ and don't really want to spend the money just to see this match, try Youtube. While it may not be legal, there are people that pirate the feed of a game be it football, basketball, or volleyball. I've seen cases where a football game is being shown live on 4 or 5 Youtube channels. I assume they just set a camera in front of a TV and let it run. Normally you probably wouldn't see this done for a volleyball match, but since it's Nebraska someone may be doing it.

The USC match will be good for the team. They need to take on a tough team. They are almost bored to tears.
I admit, I have liked this type of boredom. I don't know how much my heart and stomach can take the 5-set matches like Kentucky and Creighton (I was much relieved when the last point was scored in those matches).

However, the team being challenged with the 2 and 3 point sets does the team good. I am always concerned about players taking the sweeps for granted, and "coasting" through a set. They need to avoid that, because tournament time will get much tougher.

The team needs to have the attitude that Dr. Rob has described from the glory days of the 90s. He said those teams didn't play against the teams across the line of scrimmage. They played against themselves. Always asking "How can I do better?" or "How can I improve my technique?" and "How do I keep my focus on the moment and not think about the prize at the end".

With this type of attitude, this team has enough talent to "sweep" their way through the rest of the season, championship included.

The Minnesota match was a challenge, especially in the 2nd and 3rd sets. Minnesota probably played us tougher than any other Big Ten team has so far, yet we still managed to sweep them on their home court.

It could be a similar challenge at USC on Sunday, though USC is a streaky team. I've seen USC play very well, and I've seen them play like dog doodoo. We'll see how they play on Sunday. I hear their arena has been sold out for this match, so there might be more Nebraska fans than USC fans in attendance.

I watched several matches on YouTube.
Its illegal. But its on YouTube.
Somebody streams it

USC coming after UCLA when we have never done the UCLA-USC away weekend before adds some extra uncertainty as to how the Huskers will play. The Galen Center being sold out for volleyball for the first time dwarfs the previous record. I think 8000 could be Husker fans. We shall see. GBR.
