Ummmm..... was planning to do an update or two during tonight's game. But, it's only 7 minutes in and we've already scored three goals. Might be a long night for the D.R.

Updates are going to stop... 2 more goals already by the US. Still only 20 minutes in.

Almost halftime, US leads 7-0. We've lost a defender to knee injury; let's hope that it is nothing serious.

Final ended up being 14-0. Amy Rodriguez comes in as a sub in the second half and ties the record for most goals in a game with 5.

Up next, Guatemala tomorrow night with the big Mexico game scheduled on Tuesday.

Defender Ali Krieger went down with a nasty knee injury...severity still unknown.

Tonight's game against Guatemala wasn't much different than the Dom.Rep. game. Final was 13-0.

Up next is the critical match against Mexico on Tuesday night. We need to win that match to set up a match against Costa Rica (likely) that we'd need to win to make the Olympics. If we lose to Mexico, we play Canada ... with the game in Vancouver and Canada being a much tougher squad that C.R., our road to the Olympics would be much more difficult.

Mexico is really not that good....despite the upset before the world cup.....lot of American girls on that team who chose to play for Mexico....mainly because they just were not good enough to play for the USA...

They did not fair well in the World Cup....

I don't think they will sneak up on us again.....

Canada is very good....Sinclair is a beast as a striker....only Wambach is probally better in the world....we usually have their number, but the games are close and hard fought....

Kickoff with Mexico in about 40 minutes. Am planning to DVR and watch tomorrow; it is past my bedtime.

Still, that is a boat-load of goals scored. Think about it like this, in 180 minutes they have scored 27 goals, or one goal every 4 minutes......

Man, my math was off on this. 27 goals in 180 minutes is 3 goals every 20 minutes, or one goal every 7 minutes, not every four. Still, that is scoring fast and often....

US wins 4-0 over Mexico, into the semi-final match against Costa Rica on Friday.

Carli Lloyd scored her first international hat trick, and Heather O'Reilly scored the other goal for the USWNT.

Still very, very poor competition....

Only CONCACAF team we have to respect if we are on our game is Canada....and even then we get the better of them most of the time...
