Callahan recruited good athletes and made them poor.
Pelini made Callahan's recruits good again.
Pelini recruited decent athletes and they stayed decent.

The best all-time recruiter since Osborne was Callahan. But he sh*t canned the Nebraska culture, and it was never the same again, although the Pelini years showed a few fading glimpses of the past. Haven't seen another glimpse since he left.

Not sure how you take "not so sure" as "we're going to crush them". Might be a tough game and might not. I'm literally not so sure after watching them tonight and, as I said, we'll know more after we see NU tomorrow. MSU isn't exactly showing dominance tonight up to this point. Looked like it was Toledo doing a lot of the giving all they want in MSU's house.
I took it as you saying you’re not so sure it will be a difficult game for Nebraska to win. I disagreed with that assertion, I think it will be a difficult game.
No offense was intended on my part and you are right MSU certainly doesn’t look great.

One thing I've (sadly) learned since the glory days is to temper my expectations for the Huskers. They've failed to get off the bus too many times when they should have had all the motivation and advantages in the world. I'm hoping Colandrea brings a spark to the offense and we might be a little dangerous on offense again. If we look good today and in the next couple games, I may feel a lot better about games against teams like MSU (depends on how MSU looks the next few weeks, too).
A lot can change . . . for the better and the worse . . . for both teams.
