Ultimate music thread is great. How about a thread for nothing but your favorite covers to share with others?

I'll start with a kind of controversial pick, as in, is this really a cover? The original was by Rainbow, this one is by Blackmore's Night. The question comes with the writer and performers, as this is a different band doing this song, different singer. However, much like Rainbow was Ritchie Blackmore's band at the time, so is Blackmore's Night.

Mike Masse' does so many good covers. Started out as a public defender who had been moonlighting as a singer, now a full-time musician. I'd have been going out for pizza every night he was scheduled.

All of those American Recording albums had some amazing covers. I'm a huge Bonnie Prince Billy fan so this cover is one of my favorites
