I’m 0-3 on my trip to the promised land. We’ve had quality starting pitching and that is about it.

Hitting is utterly terrible and defense gives away almost every game.
 



This is definitely as frustrating as it gets as a fan - and I’ve already seen my Royals with their first 5-game skid only 7 games into the season. We - the Huskers - don‘t seem to be outright bad, though in some games, yes we are. Mostly we appear to be exceptionally unclutch, both at plate and on hill. The amount of unscored runs with man on third and one out or less defies D1 talent expectations. Still hoping we can catch a tailwind, finish 0.500 or better and have momentum for 2023. It really hurts to concede that, but fandom remains misery.
