Could a NCAA baseball regional come to Lincoln? Huskers hope so after submitting bid

Bolt cited the obvious in explaining why Nebraska put in a bid — the Huskers have the facilities, fan support, and administrative support to do it.

The potential host site schools are Arizona, Arkansas, Charlotte, East Carolina, Florida, Gonzaga, Louisiana Tech, Mississippi, Mississippi State, Notre Dame, Oregon, Pittsburgh, South Carolina, Southern Mississippi, Stanford, Tennessee, Texas, Texas Christian, Texas Tech and Vanderbilt.
