Two big losses on the recruiting trail

Terrence Lewis opted for Tenn and Travion Ford picked Mizzou yesterday.

To bad, NU really had high hopes for both and were left standing at the altar.

There was almost a zero chance on Lewis...and not much better for Ford.

We weren’t banking on these two at all. That being said, Lewis is far from a lock with Tennessee fwiw

Our track record of developing talent hasn't been the best over the past few years (as evidenced by the NFL draft and season wins/losses). I know recruiting stars won't always equal on-field performance but it's not like we've been filling the cupboard with 2 star and low 3 star recruits either. Once we prove talent can/will be coached up to reach it's full potential we'll start winning more of these recruiting battles.

Our new commit sure looks similar to Trayvion Ford. Similar skill and body type. I hate missing on him, but am still thrilled about the new commit.
