I will throw one hitch in this scenario.
Will Florida really go after Venables if Oklahoma doesn't make a bowl this year? Check out their schedule. Only one true gimme win left in Maine. Maybe Auburn, but the rest will be grinders, or boat races from the looks of things.

Tennessee is a better job than OU right now. Heupel was only there one year. I really doubt he has that strong of an attachment to Oklahoma to be willing to give up what he has going in Knoxville.
I also don’t think Venables looks like he’s succeeding all that well in the SEC.
I see Florida going hard after Kiffin.

I could easily seeing him getting the call to a mid/lower tier power 4 school. Not likely to be an "elite" school like Florida (unless something remarkable happens this year), but someone like Vanderbilt could. Cinnci, VaTech, and Arkansas could all be looking for a new coach, and I could see them at least giving him an interview.
FSU might be looking again soon if it continues to unravel there.
Why in the Texas would Florida want Tim Walz as their head coach? He failed as a HS assistant coach!

He's not going anywhere. They were a playoff-caliber team last year and signed a contract extension in the offseason. Napier, however, is gone.
Coin flip on this one. Depends on if he is still salty about being Stoops' scape goat for a "bad" season.
Maybe, but an $80M+ buy out for the head coach alone?
