1620 the Zone in Omaha is reporting that the buyout is $4 million.
If this is case, maybe Amy Williams will be gone after the tournament? So many questions here
I’m not surprised that other universities are interested in TA. I am surprised that TA is interested in leaving (assuming he is.)

Any Athletic Director foolish enough to retain Scott Frost at a Blue Blood program and have to fix his mistake a few games later isn’t irreplaceable. We are trending better in the three main men’s sport for the first time in a while which is a sign that Trev was a capable leader. Still, NU men’s athletics has been abysmal since Trev came on as AD here. Not all his fault, but that’s a fact. Perhaps we are on the way out of the darkness. If we are, sad that Trev didn’t see it through.
If true, it has to be all about the $$ since he has it real good at Nebraska. Maybe the fact that Carter left and no one has been hired to replace him? Maybe they have a new person picked and Trev doesn’t like that person? Weather? It just doesn’t make sense with the massive support he has in Lincoln, from both the Administration and the fans/people of the state. And I know, A&M has massive $$ but so does Nebraska.
Disagree ... the morass of the football program throughout the 21st century is directly attributable to the lack of leadership from the AD position. The lack of success of the basketball programs is directly attributable to the lack of leadership from the AD position.
Being an AD is more than hiring the right person and getting out of the way ... it is supporting them, it is challenging them, it is surrounding him with great support infrastructure, it is being the program's biggest cheerleader and their biggest critic (quietly).
Trev is smart, humble, unassuming, politically deft, and perfect for the role.
I would assume that there are other people in the AD world who could be suitable replacements but Nebraska has not had an AD as good as Trev since 2002 when Texas A&M stole THAT guy. (and yes that list includes TO). I have GRAVE concerns that NU is capable of finding someone to continue the positive work that ADTA has done!
I'm listening to 1620 in Omaha this AM. Gary Sharpe, a pretty dialed in local media guy, is saying that while at UNO, Trev was preparing to "retire". He'd sold his Omaha house, started renting a condo, and had purchased a South Carolina beach house. Essentially, he had made enough money and was wanting to go somewhere the weather was nicer, even if he had to take a step backwards professionally. College Station isn't exactly the beach, but it's a lot warmer than here and getting to the beach is a whole lot easier.
I disagree ... ADTA had just arrived when a decision on SF was needed, he wasn't prepared to evaluate and replace SF. Gave himself time to do a deep dive into the situation. Gave himself time to unite a polarized booster base. Gave SF time to sink or swim. Gave himself time to create a good prospective coaches list.
Very valid point, but if Trev leaves should we just quit? The attitude of only one person that is right for the job is narrow minded. We are looking for someone with those attributes, there will be others we just may need to find them.
If he's in a "retiring" mindset ... moving to become aTm's AD isn't exactly moving towards the quieter life!
