It could be argued that this is the first or second most important addition to the team, the only competition coming from the new QB

Punter, Place Kicker, QB, OL, and DL were the gaping holes heading into the offseason. (Wow, that's a lot!) With the possible exception of OL, NU seems to have brought in players at those positions who will be significant contributors and likely upgrades over what we had last season.
Let's hope we have the coaches in place now to properly use them
So you are saying that the coaches that left didn't know how to use a place kicker or punter? Seems rather weird since pretty much everybody knows they are used on 4th down 99% of the time.
Then shut er down wait is all I can tell you.I personally would like to see less press clippings and make kicks in the fall.
People read press clippings to learn about players, been going on for awhile,maybe too long or too much for some, but I'm betting its not going to stop.
