This is potentially a 27-4 team going into the Big10 tournament. Maybe they drop one on the west coast trip and go 26-5. But they have exceeded expectations going into this season.

Still like them to be around 30-5 or 29-6 coming out of the Big. Then on to March, and I expect them to be a sweet sixteen team.

-But holy moly, our offensive rebound deficit is scary. Berke got 2 rebounds vs Iowa?
-I wish we'd see Mast playing down low more often. Right now teams are up in his grill, and it seems to jam up the whole offense. Put him low and let him kick it out to the shooters. They did that a little late in the Iowa game. But more of that, please!
-Will really miss Lawrence and Hoiberg.

on offense, that is just how our offense is played. relying so much on 3 point shooting is NOT indicative for a good rebounding team.. you are too spread out and away from the hoop.

EDIT: that is why early on I talked about if we can't make the 3's we are doomed.. and that is 100% true, but they showed for a large number of games that they could play down low. More recently teams have played NU much tougher defensively, and our offense has had trouble at times.

Pure and simple, teams with great coaches have found a blueprint to beat us.

1 - dont let Sandfort even tough the ball. Sell out everything to make sure he doesnt or never has an open shot at all

2 - crash the boards esp on the backside, with an effort that is beyond what you might normally do. that attacks our weakness.

Its now up to Fred to counter what teams are doing defensively and come up with a way to over come this. What is that way? IDK but thats why Fred is a great coach. Figure that out Fred!

and per DJ above, we cant make the run we want with 7 tired guys. An 8th or possibly even 9th guy has to impact this team some. My hope is its Curtis. We shall see

I know fans are frustrated. But teams across the board all have weakness's. ALL

Ours is rebounding and inside scoring. Both can be done, but its not our strongpoint. Its Freds job to find a way to make it work

At one time, we thought the this team MIGHT be one of the top 5 teams in the country. So its a tad frustrating that we are finding out now that we are not. But please, lets have perspective. We ARE top 15 at worst. Top 10 at best. I will take it

this teams goal should be to get the double bye. Get to the sweet 16. That in itself is enough. But then, you get a chance with no pressure to take shot to win another game or two. Is winning another game or two likely? No. Possible? Absotlutely

These next 2 games are great games to get other players involved. Curtis needs to play, he played really well at Michigan. Why can't he do that against Penn St. and Maryland.

Big Ten seeding site.

I have Nebraska going 3-1. With tiebreakers over Michigan State and Wisconsin, even 2-2 may be enough to get the 4-seed and double-bye. But, I think 2-2 may require some help if one of those losses is at UCLA and UCLA ends up in a three or four team tie with Nebraska.

It has been an amazing season. A short bench and very little future NBA talent. I haven’t seen any projections, but my guess is that we have maybe one draft pick on the team. I also haven’t done the research, but my guess is the top 10 teams all have some dudes that projected the league.

Hoiberg should be national coach of the year.

We are at the point in the season where teams get desperate a focused. Eventually everyone does, but teams that are winning get there later. Illinois was a lot more desperate than Nebraska in that game. We are also seeing the best shot from team like Iowa.

I’m curious how Nebraska looks on this west coast swing. They were winning these types of games early in the season. But I’m not going to overreact to another loss or two.

The B1G tournament will be fun, lots of good teams and they all look like team we can beat. For the NCAA tourney, I’m just going to enjoy the historic moment and see how far we can take it. So much depends on matchups and a little luck.
