I wonder if Trae Taylor can turn down the BIG money that’s going to be offered him as his star keeps rising? Can he resist the life altering money offered by schools like IU, Texas, AtM, Oregon, Ohio State, Michigan, etc? How much can Nebraska really offer him next season? Can/will an 18 year old say no to 5 or 6 million a season? If he’s still rated the #1 prep QB in the nation at the end of this season he will for sure be flooded with million dollar offers. College football is mostly all about the money now...

Trae is one I will believe in. I think his commitment is solid.

If I'm Coach Rhule after seeing Taylor's O-line, I tell him to quit the team so he doesn't get injured. Then other schools will have less film to look at and he'll be healthy for spring practice.

I would be more worried about NU Coaches/Parent/Millard South coach issue right now than any money deals. Think it was an On3 article, not sure but already worry that him carrying the ball 24 times is not gonna fly. Shame the kid has to worry about not getting hurt for next year already after game 1 in high school. Good luck kid.

Are you saying the Millard coaches should adjust their offense to keep Trae from running as much so he isn't injured? And the reason is to make sure he is healthy for spring ball next year?

Yes, he is a high school kid. He could change his mind based on a girlfriends wishes. His dad is a pretty strong personality from what I can tell and he could get upset over something happening in Lincoln, including media criticism, and pull the plug, opening Trae up for new recruitment. Not to mention the money factor...

I am not saying anything, there was an article that implied that Trae's dad and possibly the husker coaches were not happy with Trae carrying the ball 24 times. I do think that the MS coaches are going to have a hard time keeping everyone happy and still trying to win high school football games any way they can.

My opinion only.

Exactly... I don’t consider a player is for coming for sure until the following happens:
He signs the National Letter of Intent (NLI) This formal agreement signifies the player's commitment to enroll at the school in exchange for athletic aid.

Once signed, the recruiting process for that player concludes, and coaches cannot recruit them further. Before that happens many things can change a players mind including some mind numbing financial offers. We can guess what schools/coaches will keep attempting to recruit Taylor until the NLI is signed imo....

I'm not going to say “for sure” that top player will be a Huskers until after he signs the NIL and is on our campus. Taylor however certainly looks like the real deal but only time will tell.
