Here's the 59-yard play:

This 59-yard play from 1965 deserves some recognition:

so that is what it looks like to have a back that is bigger, stronger, and faster than everyone else on the field. thanks for the reminder.

The thing I saw in this clip was the This one is for Sal sign held up by a Husker fan....that is about as classless as it gets...38 second mark

couple of things here. This wasnt the first time NU fan made light of Sal's death. There is always a couple of bad apples in the bunch. If I am not mistaken, that was a female running that smack in the video.

secondly, this was in 1992, when did they pass the rule that player would get a 15 yard penalty for removing their helmets? I thought it was after the 91's season. guess not.

Yeah, Duda was a stud.
What year did Duda break his leg? 1964 or 1965? IIRC, Churchich's big break came with Duda's unfortunate break... Did Duda ever recover? One of my earliest Cornhusker memories was Fred Duda's broken leg... also remember seeing him at a Basketball Game (everyone saying: "hey there is Fred Duda")...
