Tommy John Has Passed Away

When I did my surgical rotation at USC I got to spend a day with Dr. Jobe who created the Tommy John surgery. It was somewhat of a whirlwind. He would go into one operating room and do a few minutes of a procedure and then leave the residents to close the incision, go to the next room and do another procedure and by the time he left it to the residents to finish the original room would be turned over and he would do four procedures before lunch. Really blessed to able to see a lot of pioneers in action in the early years of my career.
